At Wise Owl Clearance, we take pride in recycling all your house hold items. We aim for a zero to landfill policy. Just like recycling your household items, recycling metals is vital for preserving the Planet. Using recycled materials instead of new equivalents not only saves energy, but also reduces greenhouse gases and lessens other environmental impacts associated with the extraction of new materials from the earth.

 

Sending old materials to landfill and mining new is not a long term solution and at Wise Owl Clearance we play an active part in minimizing the amount of recyclable material that is disposed of in this way.

 

In 2022 an average 10000000 tonnes of metal was recycled in the UK. Metals are valuable materials that can be recycled again and again (which is pretty amazing) without degrading their properties.  Practically all metals can be recycled into high quality new metal. The process of doing this varies for different metals but generally recycling produces metals of equivalent quality.
